Vrindavan, 2017.07.24 (VT): Vrindavan’s monkeys are notorious. Loi Bazar is their hunting ground; they will steal everything from groceries to shoes, to the glasses right off your face, hoping to exchange them for food.
But in Kishor Van, a sacred garden adjoining Seva Kunj in the heart of the old city, we get a chance to see the peaceful side of the monkeys of Vrindavan. The climate of Vrindavan is quite arid during the summer, but in the monsoon it is green everywhere.
It’s a joy to observe the monkeys in a more natural setting as they enjoy the lush greenery and cool weather of the rainy season.
