Govardhan 2016.07.11 (VT): Mukut Mukharvind temple, situated at the bank of Mansi Ganga, is all set to decorate Giriraj Govardhan with diamond, gold and other precious stones during the Muriya festival. Giriraj will be wearing clothes embedded with precious stones and a golden crown studded with diamonds from July 15 to 19, after the “panchamrit abhishek”.
The temple has started special preparations for the five day celebration of Muriya festival starting from July 15. Different dress of Giriraj has been prepared which are embedded with precious stones. The dresses had been prepared by special sewayats based on the various occasions during the festival.
Main organiser Manu Rishi said that this time the decoration of the Lord will be different and glorious, in comparison to previous years. He said that Lord will be done a kasturi-tilak with a diamond in his chin as well. Lord’s dress on all five days will be studded with various precious gems including diamond, ruby, emerald etc.
Temple receiver said that there will a “panchamrit abhishek” daily in the morning. During evening, various kinds of beautiful flowers will be used to decorate alter of the Lord. Roads within one kilometre of radius from the temple will have bright lights and decorations. Temple compound and lobby will also be decorated with lights and flowers to give a glorified look and feel.
Sewayat Shyam Sundar and Manoj Lambardar said that special arrangements have been made to distribute prasad to the devotees.
Mansi Ganga to have a better look
On the occasssion of Muriya festival, Mukut Mukharvind temple has also done special lighting arrangement at Mansi Ganga. Multi colour lights have been installed which beautifies the river bank. special arrangements have also been made for the devotees who will be taking a dip in the holy river.
