Vrindavan, 2016.12.23 (VT): A free cataract surgery camp was organized at Vatsalya Gram under the auspices of Didi Maa Sadhvi Ritambara. The four-day event ended with the distribution of medicines and spectacles to the poor. Altogether, 785 people were registered for the camp, out of which surgery was performed on 350 patients.
At the end of the surgery camp, Didi Maa said, “The eye is the most important organ of our body. It is darkness everywhere for those who don’t have eyes. A person without them cannot see God’s beautiful creation. One should help people by bringing them to these eye camps for cataract surgery.”
Eye specialist Dr. Shyam Agarwal informed the patients that the second phase of the camp will be held on February 23rd. Shri Devki Nandan Jindal, the sponsor of the event, said that one can prevent eye disease by not smoking and shunning alcohol, tobacco and other intoxicants.
Dr. Shyam Agarwal, Dr. Vishal Rathod, Dr. Rahul Jain, Dr. Anand Jaipuria, Dr. Mayur Agarwal, Dr. Anuj Bahuva, Dr. Sourabh Ramuka and Dr. Priyanka offered their service as surgeons.
Shri Devki Nandan Jindal, Shri Rajendra Tulsyan, Shri Sohan Ramuka, Shri Heera Bhai Jain, Shri Murlidhar Joshi, Shri Sanjay Gandhi, Shri Ramesh Vijla and Shri Mahaveer Prasad Jindal contributed to make the camp successful.
