Mathura 2016.09.05 (VT): State Government is starting “Sashakt Gaon, Vikasit Pradesh” (Strong Villages, Developed State or SGVP) campaign from Sep 8 to develop the villages of Mathura region. The campaign will be focused on creating awareness in the villagers about the existing developmental projects and encouraging them to participate in the same. The plan will also be prepared to develop good governance.
Village Panchayat’s are unable to ensure optimum utilisation of available resources which will be the main focus of the SGVP campaign. Apart from that the campaign will also focus in digitalisation of villages, and making them self-sufficient by providing them earning opportunities there itself.
Till date all such initiatives by the Government came out as a failure because the villagers were not informed about any such programmmes which are intended to help them. Even no officers used to visit and educate the village panchayats and villagers about such Campaign earlier. Sighting all these reasons, the State Government has passed an order after which the Government officers were supposed to visit the villages in their territory regularly and a report will be submitted to the Government after each visit.
