Vrindavan, February 21st 2015: The Vrindavan Police has taken a suspected person into custody, who was seen wandering near some famous temples. The police didn’t seem to take any risk on suspected persons as Vrindavan receives a big number of visitors from around the world.
This person was picked up by the police from a tea stall near the Prem Mandir and detained him in the Vrindavan Police Station. He was wandering near the Prem Mandir, Iskcon and in the parikrama marg. The crime sleuths were following him from last few days. A thorough search was conducted on him, in which the police found a smoking pipe, 12 ATM cards, sim cards, and identity cards belonging to a company from Dubai where he used to work as an Engineer.
The suspected person revealed his name as Mohammad Afzal KJ, son of Mohammad Jamal, aged 28 and resident of Vanakad village in Kerala. He said that he was a computer mechanic in a company in Ubora, Dubai. He came to Vrindavan from Haridwar where he lived for several days.
According to the sources the police are suspecting him carrying out reiki on the temples of Vrindavan and may be the sleeping module of some terror groups. The crime branch didn’t find anything objectionable from his possession, but the variations in his statements making the police skeptical. The police has yet to ascertain the reason of his changing statement if it was due to his high intake of intoxicant or he was misguiding the police.
The local police has been updating the developments to the higher authorities about the suspect.
